Mixed Media Monday - Shrink Plastic Bracelet

Happy Monday Peeps!

First, I want to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who came out to the CKC show in San Marcos.  It was really nice to see so many of you!  Hopefully some of our new friends will pop in and check us out!  Leave us a comment, say "hi", we would love to hear from you!  Be sure to "like" us over on Facebook too!  http://www.facebook.com/paperswingsprod

Today, we are featuring another great guest blog appearance from Robin Nowak.  She has created a great shrink plastic charm bracelet using our Milagro stamp set.

Steps for making your shrink plastic milagro bracelet:

Prep your shrink plastic by lightly sanding it in several directions. This process gives the slick plastic a 'tooth' for the ink and colors to adhere to.

Stamp milagro images on the shrink plastic then use colored pencils or markers to color the images. With colored pencils, you don't have to color much--since the image will shrink, even a light amount of pencil will show up.

Next, cut the stamped images out. Punch a hole in the shape where you want the charm to hang. Use  a larger hole punch because the hole will string about 50%. Or, you can use a dremmel to drill a hole in each charm.
Either use your heat tool to shrink the plastic or you can also put the cut out images on a piece of foil or even a brown paper bag, then put into an oven at 250 degrees until they shrink. I find it easier to use my heat gun.

Allow your charms to cool. When they are cool, attach jump rings and then add the charms to a bracelet.

Enjoy the flight!
