Small Business Saturday

Greetings peeps,

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.  We are so truly thankful for each and every one of you.  This has been a great first year and we couldn't be where we are today without you!

Are you planning on participating in small business Saturday?  It's a commitment to shop any one of your favorite local, independent stores this Saturday, November 27.

These days there are fewer and fewer scrapbook and rubber stamp stores left.  Between a rocky economy and online retailers that deeply discount merchandise a lot of small business have gone away.  Let's do our part to keep local craft stores open!  Commit to dropping into your local store at least once a month and buy something, even if it's just one thing.  Without local stores, we lose touch with our community of artists.

Our local store, Stamp Antonio, is also celebrating 20 years of being in business.  My family had the pleasure of owning the store for 10 of those years, so this event has significant meaning to me.  If you are in the San Antonio area, I hope you will drop by on Saturday for a day filled with demos, make and takes, door prizes, and a good old trip down memory lane.  I plan on being there for a little while in the afternoon, I hope to see you there.  Our good friend Beth will be doing a free make & take with our stamps.

The rest of the day, I will be vending at the Peace Market.  I am selling some of my hand made books, jewelry, and other goodies.  Our talented designer, Liz Balderas is also vending there.

Again, I hope you will keep small businesses and American made products (like ours!) in mind when doing your holiday shopping.

Blessings to you all,
Carrie
