Hi all, Ashley here! We have had the craziest spring I can remember. March was warmer than average and now we're having snow. That's Indiana weather for you, but I'm ready to see my spring flowers! This Black Eyed Susan stamp set was just what I needed to bring some color to my day!
I
stamped my image with Versamark and used white fine detail embossing
powder to heat emboss the image. Then I used my Copic markers to loosely color
the stamped image and used some distress ink blending around the very
edges of the base for the sky and the grass. I thought the colors of my flowers were
too bright for a black center of black eyed Susans so I just colored
the center the same color as the flowers.
My
sentiment is from the Earth and Sky stamp set and I thought these flowers could definitely bring some sunshine to any day! I adhered my flowered base to the card base
and tied on some twine.
Thanks for looking!

Mixed Media Monday - Black Eyed Susan Sun Catcher
Hi PWP fans! Dana here today sharing a quick and fun tutorial. Summer is almost over and I'm hanging on to the sunny days for as long as I can! To help capture the rays and bring them into my home, I altered this sun catcher.
The iridescent paint I used with the NEW Black Eyed Susan Cling Stamp Set really captures the light. This small piece has helped to brighten my space in a big way!
I used a black permanent ink to stamp the Black Eyed Susan design onto a piece of glass. My piece of glass was not a flat surface, so I did not use a stamping block.
I then painted the stamped image.
I twisted a piece of wire around the glass to make a hanger for my sun catcher and added beads to finish.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to use your Paper Wings Productions Stamps on something other than paper. There are several new floral stamps available in the Paper Wings Productions Store.
