warm winter wishes

We had our first snow of the season in Indiana this weekend and it put me in the mood to bundle up the penguin in the Winter Wonderland stamp set:

I wanted to use the penguin from the Winter Wonderland stamp set and I wanted to bundle him up with a hat and a scarf. I stamped my penguin and the hat and fussy cut them both. Then I stamped the image of the wolf wearing the scarf and fussy cut the scarf.

I colored the hat and scarf with Copic markers and attached them to my penguin. Then I attached the penguin to my card. I stamped the sentiment using the Say It Winter Greetings stamp set.

For a little bling, I added snowflakes using the Sparkle red rubber cling stamp set. I heat embossed them with silver embossing powder.

January Challenge

Welcome to our January Challenge!

We have changed around things here at the Aviary this year.  We have added a Link Up Party that will happen at the beginning of each month.  This month we had some of our designs both past and present upload something for the Link Up Party so they will each receive a special Paper Wings prize pack!  Hope you will join us next month.  If you don't have any of our stamps yet, here's a great chance to win some!  It's time for our Monthly Challenge.  Here anything goes!  You may enter a project (tag, card, mixed media project, art journal page...) using products from any company (although we would LOVE for you to use our stamps!!!).  This month our theme is WINTER.  Here is a little inspiration from some of our design team members-
