grateful to you

Hello there! Ashley here today with a fun way to make a big impact with a small stamp.

I used the little leaf stamp from the Fall Mix it Up stamp set to make a background for my card. I stamped it multiple times and heat embossed it with white fine detail embossing powder. Then I water colored over the heat embossed images and they resist the watercolors. You could do this with any image or sentiment.

My sentiment for this card came from the same stamp set. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I added some twine and a wood veneer to complete the fall look. What do you think?

Wearable Art: Stamped Tchotchke Pin

Artsy To The Bone Tchotchke Pin by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a fun piece of wearable art. I've been working on adding patches and studs to my battle jacket. I'm really loving this form of expression with colorful patches and pins from my favorite bands and artists. I wanted to add some handmade flair to the jacket, for a bit more originality, so I created this one-of-a-kind tchotchke pin.

I pulled the Meurtos Clear Stamp Set from my Paper Wings stash. I think rock-and-roll and skulls go pretty well together! I stamped one of the skeletons and the words 'artsy to the bone' onto a piece of white cardstock using black archival ink.

Next, I cut the stamped images from the paper to fit into round pendant trays. I used a piece of floral print patterned paper as the base for the stamped text.

I attached the stamped papers to the pendant trays with Diamond Glaze. (Any liquid glaze will work for this step!) Once dry, I applied a small amount of glaze over the image in each pendant and pressed a glass cabochon over the top to seal and magnify the designs.

I added both pendants and some more charms to a 5-loop pin. I'm seriously ready to rock!

This pin is great for wearing and also giving! There is an amazing selection of stamps in the Paper Wings Productions Store that are small enough to fit onto jewelry bases and pins. If you used PWP products to create a piece of wearable art, or any art, we'd love to see it! Share your creations with us on the Paper Wings Productions Facebook Page, in the Paper Wings Productions Facebook Share Group, or leave a link to your work here in the comments section.

Thanks for stopping by today!

get WELL soon

Hi everyone! Leslie (new design team member) here to share a DT inspiration project with you today, a pretty get well card using the Flower Power stamp set along with the Sayings and Sentiments stamp set, Perfect Pearls, and a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Buckle.

I stamped several flowers from the Flower Power stamp set randomly over white cardstock with the Perfect Medium in the Perfect Pearls kit, and applied the green, blue, red and purple Perfect Pearls powders which yielded a beautiful muted vintage look to all the colors. I lightly misted the panel with water to bind the powders so they don't rub off. I cut the background and the rest of the white and brown bag cardstock layers with the matting dies.

I stamped the sentiment in Frayed Burlap distress ink on a narrow strip of white cardstock cut with a matting die from the same set, layered it on the brown bag cardstock, added a buckle and adhered it to the front. I finished the front with several flat-back pearls.

For more details and additional photos, please see my blog post at Love To Scrap 2.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to check out all the fun stamps and other goodies at Paper Wings Productions! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time!

Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
