you make life sweet

Hi! Ashley here today, sharing a card I made with the Hey Cupcake stamp set. I chose the little cupcake to stamp, heat emboss, and watercolor.

I like to use distress inks + my Tim Holtz watercolor brush to color my images. After I heat embossing the cupcakes with white fine detail embossing powder, I fussy cut them and did the same technique with the cupcake stand. I didn't want the whole cupcake stand - it was too large for my cupcakes! - so I fussy cut just the top part of the cupcake stand for my card. Always be on the look out for ways to make your stamps go further and work for your needs!

My sentiment is also from the Hey Cupcake stamp set, which I heat embossed with a coordinating pink embossing powder. I added a spot of watercoloring to my base using the same distress inks I used on the cupcake frosting. I think it helps to ground my sentiment.

Then I adhered the cupcake stand and my cupcakes with pop dots.

Thanks for looking!

grateful to you

Hello there! Ashley here today with a fun way to make a big impact with a small stamp.

I used the little leaf stamp from the Fall Mix it Up stamp set to make a background for my card. I stamped it multiple times and heat embossed it with white fine detail embossing powder. Then I water colored over the heat embossed images and they resist the watercolors. You could do this with any image or sentiment.

My sentiment for this card came from the same stamp set. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I added some twine and a wood veneer to complete the fall look. What do you think?

Amor

Hello friends. Larissa here with you today.

I grabbed the Frida Por Vida stamp set this morning and stamped one of the images on a piece of 110lb white cardstock. I colored the image using Copic makers.

I found the perfect pattern paper in my stash and used it to cut a tag and for the background of the card front. I also matted the imaged piece as well as the card front on a piece of
Stampin Up Ripple Raspberry cardstock. It matched perfectly. I added some black and white twine to the top of the tag and a couple of small navy blue banners.

I love the way this card turned out. The colors make the image pop off the page. Don't you think?

Thank you for stopping by today. Make sure to check back Friday and see what Erin has in store for you.

Have a wonderful crafty day,

Larissa Pittman

Los Animales

Hello friends. Larissa here with a fun Halloween card for you today.
I am using the new cling stamp set Los Animales.
I stamped the cat head on a piece of white cardstock using a gray ink to create a pattern paper background.
Then I stamped the cat and colored it with Copic markers. I cut it out and adhered it to a piece of black cardstock cut into a circle.
I matted the card front onto a piece of black cardstock then adhered it all to a white card base.
I didn't want to cover up too much of the background so to finish off the card front I added some purple and orange sequins and a piece of fun Trick or Treat ribbon.

This is such a fun set for cards this month. Although I think you could use it year round or at least I will. :)
Have a wonderful day friends.

happy Halloween!

Hello everyone! Ashley here with a Halloween card to share today!
I cut this with my Cricut and then cut a piece of white paper for the background, which I colored with distress ink. I used the Little Halloween clear stamp set from Paper Wings Productions. I think the little pumpkins and the bat are so cute (not scary!) and I love the font too. There's also a similar stamp set - Halloween Mix It Up - that's got a witch hat and spiders!
I colored my bat with Copic markers and adhered only his body to the card base so that his little wings are dimensional. Then I stamped my sentiment with Memento ink. Pretty simple, but really cute for Halloween! For more Halloween inspiration, be sure to check out Pam's Halloween card.

Dreaming by the Sea

Hello Friends! Larissa here with you today with a card I made using the Clip Art Sheets.
I have been trying to work out of my comfort zone lately and thought about this card being the perfect project for me.

I started with one of the images from the Clip Art Sheet BY THE SEA

I took the image and transferred it onto a piece of watercolor paper using gel medium. Once it dried I roughed up the edges of the image a little to give it the worn vintage look. I then added some clear sealer to the top of the image.
Once it dried I wanted to tone down the image so I added a pearl shimmer paint to the top. Just a very thin coat.

I liked the way it aged the image. Before I adhered the image to the card front I turned it over and sprayed water all over the back. Once it dried I was happy with the way it looked.
I roughed the edges of the card front a little to also give it the vintage look.
I wanted to add a sentiment to the front but could not find any that I really thought went with the image. So I pulled out my drawer of embellishments and found this little round embellishment that said Dream!
It was perfect. It finished off the vintage look I was going for.
As much as I would love to send this card off to a friend I fell in love with it.
I decided it would look better on my shelf in my studio so I grabbed a 4x6 clear frame I had and slid the card inside.
What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my post.
Have a wonderful day friends.

Congratulations Card

Hello PWP fans! It's Amber here with you today sharing a three toned stamped collage card. Before I get to my card I thought I would remind everyone that Paper Wings Productions is having a design team call. We are looking for dependable, creative rubber stamp designers that have a passion for sharing tips, techniques, and ideas with our followers. If you are interested you can check out the design team call HERE. Okay, onto the card I'm sharing today. Lately I have really begun to like mixing and matching different colors with black.  Usually I'm more of a neutral colored crafter but  its been fun using my everyday go to color black and changing it up with another color. So today its all about mint, black, and white. Below you will find step by step instructions to create your very own card. Check it out.

1. Add some paint splatters to your card base. I'm using a pre-made card base with a diagonal design from American Crafts but you could create your own with cardstock and stamps.
2. Repeatedly stamp a sentiment onto a square piece of cardstock. I stamped "Oh Happy Day" in two different colored inks and adhered it to the right side of my card base.
3. Die cut a circle out of a colored cardstock, cut one side off, distress the edges and attach towards the bottom part of your stamp sentiment block. You could mix it up and use any shape like a star, triangle or a square.
4. Stamp your main image onto some cardstock in the same matching ink you used for you sentiment. Then cut around the edges and attach it to the die cut shape you added in the step above. I used one of the gorgeous ladies form the Vintage Domino Melange Cling Stamp Set as my main focal image and stamped it the same two matching inks I used for my background sentiments.
5. Cut/die cut a banner out of some cardstock and stamp a second sentiment onto it. Once stamped add it to the left side of your stamp focal image tucking the end of the banner behind it. I used "Congratulations" for my second sentiment to go along with my background "Oh Happy Day" sentiments.
Its that easy. I hope you enjoyed my card today and Thanks for visiting!
