Spotlight Sunday: Dana's December Daily - Part 2

Hi Paper Wings fans! Dana here today sharing a peek inside the December Daily album that I put together using the Natural Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit. I shared how I created this album last month in this Tutorial Tuesday Post. I dressed up the inside of this album with die-cuts from the Well Dressed Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit and chipboard and clip art from the Vintage Christmas Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit.

I have days 1 through 18 finished, which beats my 2013 effort by several days! I'm planning on finishing my album this year! The fantastic selection of PWP Christmas Stamps has me motivated to complete the last couple pages as there are several stamps that are perfect for the remaining dates!

The pockets of this canvas portfolio are perfect for storing holiday cards. I have room for more cards in the rear pocket.

Several of the pages in this album are made from patterned paper, which isn't the best surface for journaling. The selection of die-cuts in the Well Dressed Kit and the tags in the Natural Kit are perfect for recording memories.

I used the Holiday Add Ons Clear Stamp Set on several die-cuts. The sentiments and tiny festive images are wonderful for small spaces.

The Merry Clear Stamp Set fits perfectly on the tags from the Natural Kit.

I used the Holiday Add Ons Clear Stamp Set to add the house to the floral die-cut. It is the perfect complement to the photo of my daughter's gingerbread house on the opposite page.

I used the Perfect Numbers Clear Stamp Set to stamp the date onto most of the pages of this album. The Uniball White Pen was great for adding journaling to the darker pieces of cardstock.

If you're working on a December Daily album, you'll also want to check out how Katie uses stamps in her December Daily Post. We'd love it if you found the time to join our December Holiday Challenge!

Featured Friday - Halloween Hodgepodge Mini Album - Part 2

Happy Halloween Paper Wings fans! Dana here today sharing more of my Halloween Hodgepodge mini album. I'm really loving the Halloween Hodgepodge Mixed Media Kit! I used the new kit as well as bits and pieces of previous Nesting Components Kits to create this album. If you missed my first mini album post this month, CLICK HERE. I've added the photos and some more stamping to the pages of my album and am sharing that today.

I've been pinning recipes all month long in preparation for my Halloween party and wanted to document some of the treats I'll be serving later tonight. I attached a photo of Black Velvet Cake to the page with Purple Lace Washi Tape. I added a small clip art image (Halloween 2 Clip Art Sheet) and a bat sequin to the corner of the page.

I included photos of my brother's family. Although we don't live close enough to trick-or-treat together, I still wanted to make note of their fantastic costumes! The colors in the image (top) from the Halloween 1 Clip Art Sheet matched my photos perfectly! I used the NEW Hombre Skeleton Cling Stamp and the Fall Add Ons Clear Stamp Set with a White Stamper's Big Brush Pen to dress up a piece of black cardstock (bottom). I added journaling with a White Uniball Pen.

My brother also dressed up his dogs! This is my favorite photo of their Boston Terrier Tobias as a killer whale. I embellished this page with an image from the Halloween 1 Clip Art Sheet, an envelope and label sticker from the Well Dressed Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit and a flower from my stash.

I'm trying to creep up my house for my party tonight. I have a spooky glow-in-the-dark ghost guarding my walkway. I framed him with a pair of ghosts from the Fall Add Ons Clear Stamp Set. and taped him down with a piece of Halloween Striped Washi Tape. I'm happy that I don't have to dust before my guests arrive! I'm adding more cobwebs and spiders to furniture and fixtures inside my home.

I'm looking forward to filling my skeleton cup from my skeleton drink dispenser! The skeleton rub-on I added to this page is from a previous Nesting Components Kit.

I topped a photo of my daughters in their costumes with this gorgeous purple frame (frames vary from kit to kit). I recorded the year on a hand-dyed tag and stamped "ghoulish" onto the bottom of the page using the Fall Add Ons Clear Stamp Set.

My girls are like night and day. My oldest is dressed as a Monster High character and my youngest is a flying mermaid (her costume idea!). I finished their pages with some leftover Halloween decorations and some journaling. I have a couple pages left to record some candid party pics.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll pick up the Halloween Hodgepodge Mixed Media Kit! The mix of products in this kit is really fun to work with.

Please come back and visit us next month for the November Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit reveal, the November Challenge and the November Blog Hop. We have more talented Guest Designers joining us and they're sure to inspire you!

What's Up Wednesday - Halloween Hodgepodge Mini Album

Hi Paper Wings fans! Dana here today sharing a Halloween Hodgepodge mini album today. I'm really loving the Halloween Hodgepodge Mixed Media Kit! I used the new kit as well as bits and pieces of previous Nesting Components Kits to create this album.

I stamped the Large Katrina skeleton into the focal point of my album cover using the black StazOn ink included in the kit and then colored in the background of the circle with a Warm Grey Stamper's Big Brush Pen. I placed a piece of Fusible Webbing over the stamped image and melted it with a heat gun to give the look of cobwebs.

I also fused webbing over the embellishment cluster and added a couple spiders to play up the creep factor.

I had a lot of fun dressing up the inside pages of this album. I used The Crafter's Workshop stencil from the kit on the inside cover of the album. I stamped sentiments on both the outer and inner front covers using the Halloween Mix It Up Clear Stamp Set.

This skull print paper bag is one of my favorite items in the kit. I added a die-cut frame, hand-dyed tag and ribbon to the bag (all included in the kit) and punched holes through the top for use an an album page. The letter stickers I used to spell 'boo' are from last months Well Dressed Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit.

Another favorite item from this kit is the strip of black caution tape. I used less than half of it to embellish this 6x6 piece of patterned paper. I stamped a set of ghosts onto the page using the Fall Add Ons Clear Stamp Set.

I have plenty of pages in this album to document my daughters as they trick-or-treat and the following neighborhood Halloween Party. In addition to the fun embellishments included in this kit, I also filled the pages with images cut from the Halloween 1 and Halloween 2 Clip Art Sheets. I'll be sure to share the entire album once I've added the photos and some journaling, so be sure to stop back in November!
