DT: 12 Days of Christmas Love

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica from www.vickyscrappingpassion.blogspot.com  sharing with you A quick minialbum I made this morning. I was inspired by the Paper Wings Productions: Perfect numbers, clear stamp set.

For this album, I used:

Liquid Glass

Inks: Black, red, and gold: Hero Stamps.
Glittery snow, DecoArt
Glittery snow, Martha Stewart

A closer look at my mixed media title:

For this album, I used mostly components of the nesting mixed media kit. I added some fake snow
to the snowflake and the inked wood shipies

For the album covers, I used the harder packing material included in this kit. And make the wholes using my Cro-A-dile. I attached some trimmed paper from October afternoon included in the kit, sanded and inked the edges. I cut more paper for the inside pages and added picture mats and  stamped embellishments. The coordinated kits makes this process a breeze.

I hope you enjoyed my minialbum and visit my blog.

Have wonderful and blessed day,

Vicky Tovar

Spotlight Sunday: Dana's December Daily - Part 2

Hi Paper Wings fans! Dana here today sharing a peek inside the December Daily album that I put together using the Natural Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit. I shared how I created this album last month in this Tutorial Tuesday Post. I dressed up the inside of this album with die-cuts from the Well Dressed Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit and chipboard and clip art from the Vintage Christmas Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit.

I have days 1 through 18 finished, which beats my 2013 effort by several days! I'm planning on finishing my album this year! The fantastic selection of PWP Christmas Stamps has me motivated to complete the last couple pages as there are several stamps that are perfect for the remaining dates!

The pockets of this canvas portfolio are perfect for storing holiday cards. I have room for more cards in the rear pocket.

Several of the pages in this album are made from patterned paper, which isn't the best surface for journaling. The selection of die-cuts in the Well Dressed Kit and the tags in the Natural Kit are perfect for recording memories.

I used the Holiday Add Ons Clear Stamp Set on several die-cuts. The sentiments and tiny festive images are wonderful for small spaces.

The Merry Clear Stamp Set fits perfectly on the tags from the Natural Kit.

I used the Holiday Add Ons Clear Stamp Set to add the house to the floral die-cut. It is the perfect complement to the photo of my daughter's gingerbread house on the opposite page.

I used the Perfect Numbers Clear Stamp Set to stamp the date onto most of the pages of this album. The Uniball White Pen was great for adding journaling to the darker pieces of cardstock.

If you're working on a December Daily album, you'll also want to check out how Katie uses stamps in her December Daily Post. We'd love it if you found the time to join our December Holiday Challenge!

Tutorial Tuesday - Natural Components December Daily Album

Hi Paper Wings fans! Dana here today sharing a quick and easy tutorial for a December Daily album that I put together using the November Natural Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit.

The versatility of this neutral kit is fantastic! By using Gelatos and Stamper's Big Brush Pens with some of my favorite stencils and stamps, I was able to transform the kit contents into a colorful, festive December Daily album.

A 5x7-inch Canvas Corp Canvas Portfolio is included in the kit! I spritzed the outer covers of the album with water, to help the canvas absorb the color, and then applied Gelatos to the canvas. I blended the color with a paintbrush and water.

I dried the portfolio with a heat gun and then added splatters of Tattered Angels Mist. I used Stamper's Big Brush Pens and stencils to add a pattern over the colored canvas. I finished the edge of the portfolio with some script using the Writing Cling Stamp and brown Archival Ink.

I wanted to be able to tie this album shut, so I hot glued a piece of canvas ribbon from my stash across the front and back covers. I then glued the prettier lace trim from the kit over that plain ribbon to dress it up a little. I still have the majority of the Vintage Christmas Nesting Components Kit leftover from last year and I pulled the chipboard deer from that kit to add a whimsical touch to the cover of my album.

The red and green flowers are from my personal stash. The white leaves, wood veneer leaves and game pieces (numbers will vary from kit to kit) are all from the November Natural Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit. I stamped the number 25 onto the cover using the Perfect Numbers Cling Stamp Set.

The mix of yuzen, petal, printed, natural fiber, and tissue papers included in this kit are so fun to touch and make each page of the album a little more interesting! I added a couple pieces of patterned paper and cardstock from my stash to add a pop of color to the inside of the album. I gathered the papers into a stack, folded them all in half, and then stitched the pages together along the crease with a piece of twine. I then secured the bundle of paper to the portfolio binding with a piece of hand-dyed ribbon. I stamped the date onto each page using the Perfect Numbers Cling Stamp Set. I'm looking forward to documenting the last month of the year!

We'd love to have you join our Monthly Challenge! You have until the 30th to link up your project for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the Paper Wings Productions Store!
