Moments by Agnieszka Bellaidea

Hi!
My name is Agnieszka Bellaidea and I have a pleasure to GD today here.

I was very happy to be able to create with such a beautiful set of stamps and I made two projects for today.
I like to create scrapbook pages and canvases the most buy of course I also have fun with cards, tags and OTP projects.
I design for several producers from USA, Canada, Poland, I like to mix romantic style with shabby touch and I am addicted to Mixed Media. I also teach classes.

My first project, a scrapbook page was created using Bo Bunny papers and for stamping I used one of my favorites . Do you know this one?

Big Textures Cling Stamp Set can be used for layouts, cards, journaling, canvas.

My second project, a colorful card.

Royal Melange Cling Stamp Set is the one and only stamp used here but with a embossing powder in Magenta color makes a striking statement.

I can only hope you liked my project, next time I will show you another scrapbook page with different stamps!
Have a great day!
Thank you for looking

Scrapbook Saturday!

Hey everyone! It's Ashley here with a guest post for Scrapbook Saturday! I have a 12x12 page to share today using the Art Textures stamp set, Mr Huey's Shine mist, gold foil wing embellishments, and the With Wings stamp set.

I really wanted to use the With Wings stamp set but the sentiment I wanted to use said "with brave wings she flies" so it was not going to work. No problem. I just masked the 's' in she and made the stamp work for my page!

The gold wings were something I really wanted to use with the With Wings stamp set; obviously they were made for each other! The gold foil didn't coordinate with my page so I altered them. I sanded the top layer of the wings to scuff them up a bit and then heat embossed with a layer of white embossing powder. Before the white layer was cool and dry, I added a layer of the fired brick embossing powder. This time I let the wings completely cool and then I added a second layer of fired brick. Since it was distress embossing powder, the wings have great dimension, some of the white layer shows through, and you can still see all their detail. I love how they look on this page!
On my patterned papers, I misted Mister Huey's Shine in a few places. I grabbed my Art Textures cling stamp set and started to build some dimension. I mixed gesso with the Shine spray and stamped the smaller circles. You can use your heating tool to help this dry more quickly. With the chicken wire stamp, I heat embossed with white and fired brick. Then I mixed more Shine mist into my gesso/Shine combo and stamped the large circles. Lastly I added some heat embossed smaller circles in fired brick.
Finally I can share my whole page...

I've linked up my products below. Thanks so much for stopping by today and thanks to the PWP girls and Carrie for having me this month! It's been a blast! :)

Scrapbook Saturday - Mixed Media Layout

Today I´m going to take you trough the process of building a mixed media style scrapbooking page by using pieces from the Soft Summer Nesting Components kit together with Paper Wings stamps.

I started off my project by applying thin gesso over a plain cardstock. This makes the cardstock stif and more resistant to water. I use a spatula to spread the gesso and don´t mind if it gets uneaven. Most of the time I use a heat gun to speed the drying process.

When the gesso and cardstock are completely dry it´s time for the fun part - paint, ink and stamps! First of all I spray water over the cardstock (on both sides). This keeps it from bending to much when applying ink. I ramdomly sprayed on mist in different colors, after drying I started stamping randomly with the background stamps from Paper Wings. Before the stamping ink was dry, I added more water to get a watercolor effect. You can see how wet it was before drying on the last picture above.

When I felt happy with my background I left it to dry again. When dry I started adding more stamped details as well as cut out paper details. I sort of build my pages step by step. First a bit of ink, then some stamps, a bit more ink, some paper pieces, more stamps etc. You get it. After some more drying (it takes a while to create a page like this one....) I started to add my decorations.

I love how the wings turned out on the page!

And this is what the finished page looks like. Hope you enjoyed my step by step!

Inky waves from Marie Johansson.

Themed Thursday - Card Set

Hi there sweet friends. Marie Johansson here today showing you a card set made with the Tea Time July Nesting Components Mixed Media kit. Let me first tell you a bit about myself. I live in the north of Sweden with my partner and our two kids (10 & 6 years old). I have been scrapbooking since 2004 and my style has developed over the years to now days more fit under Mixed Media Scrapbooking. I love to use different mediums on my projects mixed up with various sorts of embellishments. You are very welcome to visit my blog to see more of my creations.

Both card has a brown cardstock as it´s base. I choose to use different patterned papers from the paper pad that comes with the kit. To match the cards I choose to use leftovers from one card on the other card. I also used the same ribbons, paints and gesso.

For this card I used one of the pictures from the clip art sheet. I have distressed it a bit on the edges to create texture. I don´t like my cards to flat. The ATC chipboard frame from Um Wow Studios made it´s way up on the top of the card. It´s partly covered with gesso. The Swirl stamps turned out nice stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. I have used the same techniques on the card below, gesso on the chipbard, embossing and splatters of mist and paint. It looks totally different though even though the material is the same.

After finishing my card I had some paper strips left. Instead of throwing them away, used them for a set of tags. I used the same materials on these as on the cards.

We're thrilled to have two guest designers helping us CELEBRATE this month: retired flight attendant, Tara Chaussee, who you all know and love and the lovely Gia Lau of The Painted Crane.

  • My name is Giavanna Lau and almost everyone (except my Mom) calls me Gia for short. For the past three years I have lived in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, but that could change because of my day job. I wear several different hats-my favorite one is mom to seven children by birth and four by marriage. I am also a civilian doctor for the Armed Forces who specializes in post traumatic stress disorder.

I have been scrapbooking since my son Justin, now in law school, was a baby (and I don’t like to think about how many years it has been!) Raising children is more fun when you are creative and don’t mind getting a little messy. I also believe with all my heart that art heals. My creative resume includes designing for Memory Works and Altered Pages, publication in Unruly Paper Arts, and teaching an art workshop for children. My most recent adventure is co-founding Clique Kits, a brand new paper crafting monthly kit club and online community. I love my husband Joel, a professional photographer, wonderful father, and supportive husband. I could not do any of this without him!

AND...we also have a special project made by one of our talented stamp designers.  To kick off this CELEBRATION, here are two projects from the lovely and talented Liz Allen.

  • Ladies thank you so much for joining us this month, we're honored to have you.  Okay it's to the party started, go grab your favorite snack, get comfortable and enjoy the hop!!
The first stop this month is at our guest Gia's blog The Painted Crane.
