May Challenge-Anything Goes

Welcome to the May Challenge- Anything Goes!  We had so many fabulous entries last month and we thank each and everyone of you for linking up!  A big CONGRATS goes to Val By Design she was the randomly chosen winner for April and won a $20.00 credit to the Paper Wings Productions Shop!  Happy Shopping Val!

This month we are doing a challenge favorite "Anything Goes" so link up any type of project with any theme!  Here are a few details for this challenge:

• Create a project (card, ATC, layout, tag, mixed media piece, etc.)

The kit this month is very customizable!  You will have your choice of colors for the hand dyed ribbon set (pink, bright pink, and lavender).  You will also have a choice of colors of the Ice Resin Inclusions.  These are great elements that can be mixed with embossing powder, gel mediums, or anything liquid/wet.  You can also just glue them on your project with glue that dries clear or double sided tape.  Even better, add them to your resin projects!  So much fun, and if you've never tried them before this is a great opportunity to get your hands on some and PLAY for a GREAT price!  We will have some tutorials up soon, be sure and check back!

Hey ya'll - art journal page

Hello, hello PWP fans, Norma here with you today!  What's been up for me lately is the Southern Sayings Stamp set.  I just got this set and I've already used four of the six sentiments.   Today I'm using "hey ya'll" from the set.  I'm also using the Triangle Border and the Happy Day stamp sets.  

I started with a blue and green background and added the backing of used joint tape.  (nothing goes to waste around here)  Next I added tiny flowers with molding paste and a Finnabair Prima stencil.  Then I cut down the backing from the stencil packaging and added a triangle border.  

This cutie is from the Vintage Cuties clip art sheet.  I'm using the back of a picture frame to hold the image in place.

I found this beautiful bling frame in my stash.  It adds the perfect touch to my focal image.

To compete my design, I added flowers from my stash and Pink Paislee Cottage Farms Paper Goods from the May Nestings Components kit.  My sentiment "hey ya'll" is from the Southern Sayings stamp set.

I strayed all of the flowers with Lindy's Spray ink for a little shimmer.

Finally, I added "oh happy day" to the top and a die cut pencil just for fun.

Mixed Media Monday

Happy Monday Paper Wings fans!  Erica here with you today to bring you Mixed Media Monday!  Today I want to share with you my completed Easter Mixed Media album.  But first I want to announce the winner of our April "Get Inky" challenge!  Congrats to Val by Design.  Please email Carrie at paperwingsproductions@hotmail.com to claim your prize!  Thanks so much to everyone who linked up this month!  We hope you will join us again next month!

I shared my album cover with you in my post earlier this month and if you missed it you can check it out HERE.  Now that Easter has passed and my photos have been printed, I was able to complete my journal and fill it will photos and details of our Easter 2014.  I used a variety of products from the Paper Wings Productions online store including the April 2014 Nesting Components Kit.   Here is a look at my completed pages and also a video showing some of my process completing my pages!  I used a ton of stamps from the Paper Wings Productions store including all the Framer Stamp sets that you can find HERE.  These stamp sets are perfect for mini albums, project life and I find myself grabbing these to add to my scrapbook layouts over and over again!  I applied acrylic paint to the edges of my pages, and tons of Hibiscus Rose from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

For the page above I used some of the Golden Regular Gel that comes in the April Nesting Components Kit with a stencil and then sprinkled some Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder to add a fun texture to the pattern paper.

 The different papers I used in my album came from two different Paper Wings Productions Nesting Components Kits. The Creative Girl Kit (January 2014) and the December 2013 Kit, these two kits are still
available in the Paper Wings Productions shop and are jam packed with product!

I hope you enjoyed my completed Easter journal.  These journals are great ways to document special moments and memories and they are so fun to create!  Here is a look at my process when I create my mini albums.
