So have you ever wondered how I'm able to get such great stamped images onto my 3-D paper mache projects? Well today I'm gonna show you my process for creating a project like this mini paper mache Katrina heart:
To create this heart I used the large Katrina stamp along with flowers from the the Frida Por Vida stamp set.
I always start out by applying a layer of gesso to the paper mache. The gesso primes the heart for me so the colors will come out brighter.
So here's my trick! I stamp my images onto tissue paper using Stazon.
Next I fussy cut the image and apply to the heart using modge podge.
Since the tissue is very thin, it just fades away. Once the modge podge is dry, you're ready to color. Super easy technique for stamping onto 3-D paper mache projects.
Thanks so much for joining today, HAPPY STAMPING!!!
Such an awesome technique, Norma!
