sending you warm wishes

Hello! Ashley here today I'm sending you warm wishes - because I need them myself. It's 5 degrees here today and it literally hurts to go outside.

For this "warm wishes" card, I used two stamp sets: Play with your Coffee and Winter Mix it Up. I adore this little border of coffee cups in the Play with your Coffee stamp set. So cute!

I used distress ink + watercoloring for the background. I heat embossed my stamp and my sentiment. Here is a close up of the stamping:

Thanks so much for looking! I hope you're all staying warm!

Stocking Stuffies

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a fun tutorial for stocking stuffer animals that I created for my daughters. My crafty time is definitely short this holiday season, so I started with a Craft-Tastic Design Your Own Stuffies kit from Ann Williams Group. I purchased this kit from Zulily, but you can find these kits in the craft sections of several major big box stores. These super-cute pre-sewn felt and plastic paper stuffies are ready to design and were a real time-saver.

Pre-Sewn Stuffie from Craft-Tastic DYO Stuffies Kit

Here are the two stuffies I started with. I know that with my limited sewing skills I could not have stitched these pieces together myself. I was happy to skip the assembly step and start designing with stamps!

How to stamp on a plastic paper stuffie by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

I designed a cat on the larger stuffie. I used the product examples from the box as a guide to draw the nose with a black marker. Then I used stamps and black archival ink to finish the rest of the design. The Sacred Geometry Clear Stamp Set and the Single Dot Border Clear Stamp Set together made a great eye! I used the Scallop Border Clear Stamp Set and the holly from the Holiday Add-Ons Clear Stamp Set to add a festive pair of pants.

Next, I added color with Faber-Castell Gelatos, Pitt Artist Pens, and Stamper's Big Brush Pens. I added a small heart to the right side of this stuffie with the Easter Cling Stamp Set.

How to fill a stamped plastic paper stuffie by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

I used the Easter Cling Stamp Set again to stamp a rabbit face onto the second stuffie. The happy Band-Aid is part of the Under the Weather Cling Stamp Set. I created the striped pants with the Straight Journaling Lines Clear Stamp Set. Once both stuffies were stamped and colored, I filled them with the polyester stuffing that was included in the kit.

DT: 12 Days of Christmas Love

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica from www.vickyscrappingpassion.blogspot.com  sharing with you A quick minialbum I made this morning. I was inspired by the Paper Wings Productions: Perfect numbers, clear stamp set.

For this album, I used:

Liquid Glass

Inks: Black, red, and gold: Hero Stamps.
Glittery snow, DecoArt
Glittery snow, Martha Stewart

A closer look at my mixed media title:

For this album, I used mostly components of the nesting mixed media kit. I added some fake snow
to the snowflake and the inked wood shipies

For the album covers, I used the harder packing material included in this kit. And make the wholes using my Cro-A-dile. I attached some trimmed paper from October afternoon included in the kit, sanded and inked the edges. I cut more paper for the inside pages and added picture mats and  stamped embellishments. The coordinated kits makes this process a breeze.

I hope you enjoyed my minialbum and visit my blog.

Have wonderful and blessed day,

Vicky Tovar

Life is a Journey wall hanging

Hello, crafty friends! Leslie here to share a DT inspiration project with you today, a funky mixed media piece created with the Art Textures, Big Art Textures, Writing Backgrounds and Kind Words stamp sets. This is my last post for Paper Wings Productions and I wanted to create something really neat! Life is definitely a journey and we need to make the most of it! I'd like to thank Carrie and the rest of the design team for having me along this term. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I started with a 5x5 Gessobord and then added a torn piece of corrugated paper, a piece of fabric mesh and a rusted metal heart attached to a swivel clasp. I applied some crackle paste as well as some distress grit paste with a stencil. From there, I added an assortment of gears, charms, a book clip, buttons, beads, flowers,  and sea glass, and then covered everything in white gesso. Several of the items were repurposed- the fabric mesh, a pop-top and a hard plastic ring. Then came the fun part of inking it up with red, pink, orange and yellow India inks, spritzing with water and letting it run. I rubbed gold acrylic paint over all the surfaces and then I did some random stamping with black StazOn ink. I splattered watered-down white Gesso over the entire piece with a fan brush.

The final step was adding the pieces of paper straws, the sentiment and the twine for hanging. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

For more details and additional photos, please see my blog post at Love To Scrap 2.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to check out all the fun stamps and other goodies at Paper Wings Productions! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Scrappy hugs,
Leslie

Believe

Hello friends. Larissa here with you today. I wanted to make sort of a vintage looking card using this stamp. I am always using the bright colors and bling so this was a little challenging.

Products Used:
Paper Wings Productions Vintage Santa Stamp
Kraft Cardstock
Cocoa Ink
Prismacolor Pencils
White GellyRoll Pen
Autumn Red Nuvo Drops

I cut the piece of Kraft cardstock and stamped the image on it using cocoa ink. I then colored the image very lightly using my Prismacolor pencils. Once I was done coloring I took a white eraser and rubbed over the color to fade it a little more.
Once I was done this was the hard part for me.. to leave it alone! No rhinestones no sequins no glitter. NOTHING..

I rounded the corners off and matted it on a piece of white cardstock then onto a kraft card base. I did end up adding a Nuvo drop in each corner. I also took my Gelly Roll pen and made little snow dots around the image. I love the way white looks on the Kraft cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. Have a wonderful Holiday season.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

cocoa warms the heart

Hi everyone! Ashley here today sharing a cup of warm cocoa!

I made this card using the Play with your Coffee and Frothy Concoctions stamp sets.

The first thing I did was run my background through my Grand Calibur. I chose this layered heart embossing folder because I knew my sentiment would be 'cocoa warms the heart' from the Frothy Concoctions stamp set and I wanted a play on words. Next I watercolored the background with distress inks.

I stamped my coffee cup from the Play with Your Coffe stamp set onto patterned paper and fussy cut it. I stamped some marshmallows on white cardstock and fussy cut those before adding them to my cup with foam adhesive.

Then I used foam adhesive to place my cup of cocoa on my embossed heart background.

Stamped Clip Art Christmas Ornaments

Stamped-Snowflake-Santa-Clip-Art-Christmas-Ornament-by-Dana-Tatar-for-Paper-Wings-Productions

Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a fun Christmas ornament tutorial featuring Clip Art Sheets. All the Clip Art Sheets from the Paper Wings Productions Store are laser printed on high quality paper, which makes them great for image transfer techniques. I used pieces from the Itty Bitty Christmas Clip Art Sheet more simply for this project. I cut them out and sealed them with a layer of glaze for a festive focal point on some stamped snowflake ornaments.

How-to-Prime-Masonite-Snowflake-Ornaments-by-Dana-Tatar-for-Paper-Wings-Productions

Step One: Prepare Masonite snowflake ornament blanks for stamping by applying a layer of white spray primer. Note: I chose a spray primer to quickly color the inside of the detailed cutouts on my snowflake ornaments. Gesso, acrylic paint, or embossing powder would also work for this step.

Step Two: Use the Writing Backgrounds Cling Stamp Set with red archival ink to add a script print to the snowflake ornaments bases.

hello Gorgeous

Hi everyone! Leslie here to share a DT inspiration project with you today, a fun accordion birthday book with a twine bow closure. I used the Vintage Domino Melange, Vintage Melange and Sayings and Sentiments stamp sets. All of these are just amazing!

I cut the accordion base from kraft cardstock. I cut the cover pieces with a stitched rectangle die and stamped the large flourish from the Vintage Melange stamp set on the front and back covers in brown ink. I heat embossed the front sentiment in gold, cut the words apart and affixed them to the front cover just above and below the twine line.

I stamped all nine domino-sized images from the Vintage Domino Melange stamp set on kraft cardstock and colored them in a very basic fashion with Spectrum Noir markers. I cut the images with a slightly smaller stitched rectangle die and layered them on brown die cuts. The birthday sentiment on the last panel is also from the Sayings and Sentiments stamp set.

For more details and additional photos, please see my blog post at Love To Scrap 2.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to check out all the fun stamps and other goodies at Paper Wings Productions! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time!

Hello friends, Larissa here with you today with a few fun Christmas coffee cards. You know me and these fun coffee stamps. I love using them and making different things with them. This past week I have seen a lot of my friends enjoying their expensive morning coffee's in a cut new holiday cup and it gave me an idea. I pulled out two different Christmas stamps and my favorite coffee stamp and got busy. I ended up with not one, not two but three new cards.

I stamped the cup 3 times and then stamped 2 lids and one of the frothy lids. I colored the first card with Prismacolor Pencils after I stamped the Santa in the middle.

One the second card I stamped Believe down the cup and added a little set of bells. I colored the whipped cream image using Red and Green Copic markers and topped it glitter.

For the 3rd and final card, I stamped Santa's Sleigh and Dear Santa on the cup and colored in the cup using Prismacolor Pencils.

I adhered all the card fronts to white card bases and added Nuvo drops to finish them off.
I hoped you enjoyed my cards today. Have a wonderful day friends.

For these cards I used:

you make life sweet

Hi! Ashley here today, sharing a card I made with the Hey Cupcake stamp set. I chose the little cupcake to stamp, heat emboss, and watercolor.

I like to use distress inks + my Tim Holtz watercolor brush to color my images. After I heat embossing the cupcakes with white fine detail embossing powder, I fussy cut them and did the same technique with the cupcake stand. I didn't want the whole cupcake stand - it was too large for my cupcakes! - so I fussy cut just the top part of the cupcake stand for my card. Always be on the look out for ways to make your stamps go further and work for your needs!

My sentiment is also from the Hey Cupcake stamp set, which I heat embossed with a coordinating pink embossing powder. I added a spot of watercoloring to my base using the same distress inks I used on the cupcake frosting. I think it helps to ground my sentiment.

Then I adhered the cupcake stand and my cupcakes with pop dots.

Thanks for looking!

Los Animales Stamped Clay Trinket Dishes

Los Animales Cat Stamped and Painted Clay Trinket Dish by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Hello! Dana Tatar here today sharing a fun tutorial that features the fantastic Los Animales Cling Stamp Set and ACTÍVA Hearty Air Dry Clay. I love crafting during the month of October. I already assembled a Halloween Mini Album, so I thought it would be enjoyable to create some trinket dishes for the Day of the Dead.

How to Stamp Air Dry Clay by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Step 1: Roll out the clay into a flat disc. Firmly press a Los Animales cling stamp into the center of the clay. Press the stamped clay into a small dish and remove the excess clay. Carefully remove the wet clay from the dish and let dry overnight. Note: I used a glass dish as a mold for my clay. A free-form dish would also look amazing!

How to Paint Air Dry Clay with ColoriQue by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Step 2: Paint the dishes and let dry. Note: I used ColorBox ColoriQue by Lisa Marie Jimenez to paint the inside of the dishes. I highlighted the edge of my dishes with Gold Lamé Smooch Accent Ink. Any ink or paint will work for this step.

How to Seal Air Dry Clay by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Step 3: Seal the dishes. Note: I like a spray sealant for a smooth finish. Find Rust-Oleum Triple Thick Glaze in the hardware store.

I really love these stamped animals! I hope I have inspired you to try working with a new medium. Air dry clay is easy to work with and is also great for beginners (like me!). Stop by the Paper Wings Productions Store to view the full selection of Day of the Dead Stamps.

If you used PWP products to create art, we'd love to see it! Share your creations with us on the Paper Wings Productions Facebook Page, in the Paper Wings Productions Facebook Share Group, or leave a link to your work here in the comments section.
