What's up Paper Wings fans? Erica here with you today to share what I have been up to at my craft desk! I have two projects to share with you today and I hope you are going to love them both! The first one uses the stamp set Black Eyed Susan and a sentiment from Banner Day. I started with a plain white card base and white layering piece that I stamped the flower image onto with some VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with some charcoal embossing powder.
Next I took some of my distress inks and rubbed them onto my acrylic block and used my water brush to color in my image. Once my image was colored I trimmed down my layer, added a sentiment, a few ink splatters and then adhered to the card base. Super simple but yet there is just something about watercolors that makes it so much fun!
Today I also want to share a tag I made using some of the products from the March Mixed Media Kit-Vintage Hodge Podge. My kit arrived over the weekend and I could not wait to dig into it! This month's kit comes with a pearlescent watercolor set that I was so excited to try out! You also get a full pack of manila tags from Ranger that are perfect to create small pieces of art! I know some of you PWP fans have already received your kits and are in love with this kit so if you have not yet purchased one yet go for it! You will not be disappointed! Here is a look at the tag I created using products from the Mixed Media Kit and a handful of stamps and other products from the Paper Wings Productions Shop.
Thank you so much for spending some time with me today and I hope you have been inspired to get a little creative today! Our March Challenge is still going on and our sponsor this month is Nani Ke Ola Scrapbooking and they are giving the challenge winner a $20.00 gift certificate to their shop! They have an amazing shop that you will definitely want to check out! We are not done celebrating this month so make sure you are following along on our blog and Facebook because I have a little something to share! Enjoy your day and remember to let your creativity take flight!
