The winner of  Nani ke Ola prize is Mulberry Mindy!  Congrats Mindy!!  Please contact Jennifer at jenn@nanikeolascrapbooking.com for instructions on how to claim prize!

Today I am sharing how to create an easy background using gelatos and some Faber Castell Big Brush Pens.  You can find both of these products in the Paper Wings Productions shop and the gelatos
are on sale right now!  I will also be using 2 stamp sets from the shop called Thankful and Sparkle

I started out by using the biggest star burst image in the sparkle stamp set
and colored it with one of mybig brush pens and then stamped it out all over a
piece of white cardstock that I cut down to a standard sizecard front.

I repeated this same process using the next two star burst images in the
stamp set with a different color blue big brush pen until I ended up with this.

Next I pulled out my gelatos and added color all over my card front in random
places.

To blend the colors in I used a sponge to rub the color all over the cardstock
until I got the look I liked.  I went back in with more color and blended with
a sponge about 2 or three times.  Next time I do this I will use a thicker
cardstock or maybe even watercolor paper.  This is what my finished
background looked like after blending in the gelatos with my sponge.

From here I added my sentiment from the Thankful stamp set in black ink
and a few tiny bling pieces to the smallest star bursts.  Last step was to add
to a black layer piece and apply to my card base!

This was my first time playing with my big brush pens and I really love using
them to stamp out images!  If you have not yet tried these out I highly
recommend them!  They would be perfect for multicolored images! Thanks so
much for joining me today and I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Make
sure to follow our blog for more inspiration and to stay up to date on new
products!!  Our May Challenge has started and this months theme is
