CAS friend card

Hi everyone! It's Ashley, back this month with a clean and simple card. I like the sentiments in the Kind Words stamp set so I wanted to make a card for a friend. Before I share it, did you know that many of the PWP stamp sets come in different sizes? This is helpful if you're on a tight budget (me!) or if you don't necessarily like all the stamps in the bigger stamp set. The Kind Words stamp set has a smaller version available - Friend cling stamp set.

For my card, I die cut the flowering branch and colored it with Wink of Stella so it's pretty and sparkley. Then I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it. This is a really simple style of card but the heat embossed sentiment + the Wink of Stella add a nice, pretty touch.

Dreaming by the Sea

Hello Friends! Larissa here with you today with a card I made using the Clip Art Sheets. 

I have been trying to work out of my comfort zone lately and thought about this card being the perfect project for me. 

I started with one of the images from the Clip Art Sheet BY THE SEA

I took the image and transferred it onto a piece of watercolor paper using gel medium. Once it dried I roughed up the edges of the image a little to give it the worn vintage look. I then added some clear sealer to the top of the image.

Once it dried I wanted to tone down the image so I added a pearl shimmer paint to the top. Just a very thin coat. 

 I liked the way it aged the image. Before I adhered the image to the card front I turned it over and sprayed water all over the back. Once it dried I was happy with the way it looked.
I roughed the edges of the card front a little to also give it the vintage look. 

I wanted to add a sentiment to the front but could not find any that I really thought went with the image. So I pulled out my drawer of embellishments and found this little round embellishment that said Dream!
It was perfect. It finished off the vintage look I was going for.
As much as I would love to send this card off to a friend I fell in love with it.
I decided it would look better on my shelf in my studio so I grabbed a 4x6 clear frame I had and slid the card inside.

Afraid of Nothing

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I'm using the Butterfly Panel Clear Stamp Set.  The phrase is beautiful and I wanted it to be the focal point of the card.  It was stamped on white and then matted twice for emphasis.

 

Next, I used the Butterfly Wings Stamp Set, coloring them with Smooch Accent Ink.  After fussy cutting the wings, I added a swirl of pearls to simulate the butterfly's flight.

 

 

A dotted panel matted to brown cardstock was used for the card base.

Love Makes the World Go Round

Happy Tuesday all! Pam here today to share another project with you featuring the World Stamp set from PWP.

I love coloring and fussy cutting so for this card I stamp the "world" several times with Memento Black ink and colored with Copics- then cut out. 

The background is a night sky created with Ranger Distress inks, layered with the stars using a The Crafter's Workshop stencil and Hero Arts Unicorn White Spray ink. 

The sentiment "love makes the world go round" was stamped in Archival Black alternating with the World image.  The fussy cut  and colored images were then adhered atop the stamped images by running through my Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker.

Hello Hello

 Hello PWP fans!  Its Amber here with you today sharing another card featuring one of the Geisha girls from the Geishas Cling Stamp Set and a sentiment stamp from the Vintage Technology Clear Stamp Set. I had lots of fun creating this one. Below I have a step by step tutorial for you to check out.

Step 1. Pick two different coordinating patterned papers. I used a polka dotted paper for the top half and a dark watercolored piece for the bottom half. The top half is larger then the bottom half. 

Step 2. Cut the patterned paper to fit the card base. 

Step 3. Stamp your image and sentiment onto another piece of coordinating patterned paper. I used a pink patterned paper and stamped my images in a blue ink that matched the other patterned papers.

Step 4. Cut out your image and sentiments. I also cut out a little banner to add to the top of my card.

Step 5. Lay out your images, staple your banner to the top left, staple the two hello sentiments to the bottom left, and add some matching ribbon. After you card is assembled add some stitching around the outside edges. You can see a close up below.

Hello Flower Card

Hello friends. Larissa here back with you today with a very simple one color card.
I started out with 2 different stamps sets. I am using Mini Flowers and Floral stamp sets. I stamped the flowers onto a piece of 110lb white cardstock that measured 4 x 5 1/4. I stamped them in a light gray ink color.

I then matted the white cardstock onto a piece of gray cardstock that matched the ink I used to stamp the flowers.

To finish of the card front I added a little Hello die cut that I cut out of a darker gray cardstock and added glitter to.

I hope you enjoyed my simple little card today. Very easy and simple.

Hey everyone! It's Ashley with my first August post at The Aviary, the Paper Wings Productions blog. I sure hope you're enjoying the projects the design team is putting out because I know we're having fun creating! Today I have a card using the Scriptures clear stamp set + the Howlin' For You cling stamp set. Just fyi, the Scriptures stamp set is easily one of my favorites by PWP. I love the sentiments and I love the font.

So the first thing I did was stamp my trees with Versamark ink and heat emboss the image with white embossing powder. Next I started using distress inks to blend the background. I used old paper and shabby shutters ink colors. When I got the background how I liked it, I grabbed a stencil.
I mixed Faber-Castell gel medium + Lindy's Stamp Gang mist to create a brown paste and then applied it over my stencil. I sped up the drying process by blasting it with my heating tool. Then I added splatters of the LSG mist onto the card.

Finally I stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and tied some twine around the card. Have you ever used mist with a gel medium?
