What's Up Wednesday- Colorful Seahorse

Hello everyone and Welcome back to the blog! It's Amber here with a bright and colorful card for this weeks What's Up Wednesday Post. I fell in love with this colorful sheet of patterned paper and just had to pair it with some matching inks and some of my favorite PWP stamp sets.

I started by covering my card base with the colorful patterned paper and then I cut and added two coordinating strips of cardstock to the upper half of my card. I stamped the cute little seahorse from the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set in Topaz and then stamped the fun little sunburst pattern in Boysenberry behind the little guy. ( Note: I masked the seahorse and around the edges of my cardstock before stamping the background.) To finish things off I stamped some text from the Text Cling Stamp Set in Topaz  and added three little cardstock squares with bards in the middle of them to the large pink panel of cardstock. You can see a little close up of my card below.

What's Up Wednesday- Stamping in Gesso

*****Join our April Challenge: GET INKY, HERE*****

Hey guys! It's Katie here today for What's Up Wednesday! I wanted to spotlight a couple of cards I made recently using my new favorite mixed media technique- Stamping in gesso!

I love all of the fun texture stamping into gesso gives your projects, and it stands out even more if you color over it with watercolors or spray mists. I used stamps from the Sacred Geometry set on the pink card and the Sunburst stamp on the blue card. I felt they were very Summer-y, so I made some embellishments using the fish and seahorse from the Mermaid stamp set as well as layering a few stickers.

I just used regular white gesso for these. I didn't take pictures for a tutorial, but here's how I do this technique-
Use a credit card or spatula to spread a thick coat of gesso out onto cardstock. While it's still wet, gently push stamps into it and remove them. Be sure to wash the stamps off before the gesso on them dries. Once the gesso on the paper has dried, color it with watercolors.

What's Up Wednesday: Katie's Seahorse Pendant

*****To join our February Challenge: Anything Goes, CLICK HERE*****

Hello! Katie here, from Punk Projects! Since today is "What's Up Wednesday" I wanted to share with you guys this necklace pendant I made using the seahorse from the Mermaid stamp set.

I love that little seahorse. For my pendant, I started by stamping the seahorse onto a piece of vellum and after it had dried I colored it in using my favorite Prismacolor markers. They work beautifully on vellum and are such fun to color in stamps with.
After that, I Mod Podged it onto my pendant, added a couple of drops of orange alcohol inks and went over it with a little bit of glimmer for extra shine.

Here are some peeks of my process:

I love how simple and easy this project was, but it turned out so lovely. The seahorse is so whimsical, I just love that stamp!

Googly Eyed Fish For A Birthday Boy

Hello everyone it's Amber here with another What's Up Wednesday post. Today I am sharing this cute little Birthday Boy card featuring the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set.

I just love this little fish image that is with the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set. When I seen it I thought the little fish would be really cute repeatedly stamped. So I pulled out some white cardstock and started stamping. Once  I had my fish stamped I colored them, added some glitter, added some mini googly eyes, and  then cut the white cardstock to fit my card base. Since I colored the fish blue and green I thought the colors were perfect for a boys birthday card. You can see a close up below as well as my supply list.
