Featured Friday-Card Set

Hello Paper Wings fans!  Erica here with you today to bring you this weeks Featured Friday!

Today I am featuring the stamp set Flourish Fun 1 and I have created a card set using a variety of stamps from this set. I started out with 4x4 card bases and a white card front.  I picked a variety of ink colors and then began stamping out different backgrounds and sentiments.  I also used some of the rub-ons from the June 2014 Nesting Components Kit.

There are 6 different stamps in the Flourish Fun 1 stamp set and they great to create beautiful and simple backgrounds for cards.

To finish up my card set I created white envelopes using my envelope punch board and then tied everything together using the beautiful bird ribbon that is included in the June 2014 Nesting Components Kit and put them all inside of a vellum bag.  I used some light molding paste and the birds stencil to add a single bird to the bag.  To close up the bag I added a kraft circle and stamp one of the stamps from the  Handmade stamp set.

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card set!  I think they will make a great a little gift!  For more card inspiration check out this post from Katie using the Play With Your Coffee stamp set.  We love to see what you have created with the Paper Wings Productions products so please tag us on Facebook or Instagram and you can always up load your projects to our Flickr gallery.  Have a wonderful day and remember to let your creativity take flight!

Celebrate

Hello everyone! It's Amber here with another Themed Thursday Post. For this weeks theme I'm sharing two Celebration cards that are very much alike but different.  For my two cards I used Paper Wings Productions Text & Muertos Cling Stamp Sets and the Banner Day Clear Stamp Set.

I used the same layout for both cards but changed them up by using different colored cardstock, different focal point stamps, and different Text background stamps. This is a great way to make a set of cards, you can use the same layout but make every card in the set a little different with out having to pull out a million different supplies.

Before I go I thought I would recap a few things that were announced earlier this week. On Monday Carrie announced the new design team, unveiled the new Paper Wings Productions website and shared a few new cling stamp sets that are now available in the shop. You can check all that out HERE.  If that wasn't exciting enough on Tuesday Norma shared this fabulous stamping and embossing technique using gelatos, you can check that out HERE.

We would love to see what you make with Paper Wings Productions Stamps so add your projects to our Flickr Group, Pinterest, Facebook, or leave a comment with a link to your project. Thanks for visiting today!

Googly Eyed Fish For A Birthday Boy

Hello everyone it's Amber here with another What's Up Wednesday post. Today I am sharing this cute little Birthday Boy card featuring the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set.

I just love this little fish image that is with the Mermaid Clear Stamp Set. When I seen it I thought the little fish would be really cute repeatedly stamped. So I pulled out some white cardstock and started stamping. Once  I had my fish stamped I colored them, added some glitter, added some mini googly eyes, and  then cut the white cardstock to fit my card base. Since I colored the fish blue and green I thought the colors were perfect for a boys birthday card. You can see a close up below as well as my supply list.

What's Up Wednesday - CAS

Hi everyone! Tara C. here with your What's Up Wednesday post.  I really admire the clean and simple technique.  Those paper artists that truly excel in this area make it look elegant, beautiful and oh so simple.  I thought I would give it a try and create my version of a CAS card.

Turns out this technique is super hard for me.  I made 4 different fronts for this card!  My favorite was the first I created but I kept thinking it was too simple so I kept right on trying. In the end, I used the very first one :) However, I stared and stared at this card thinking I needed to layer more stamps, more paper, more embellishments and had to keep reminding myself that the beauty of these cards is in their simplicity.  I even went to bed and woke up the next day wondering about this card and how I should/could change it!  But as I looked at it again, I realized how I quite liked it and what better way to show off the sweet images in the 'Marcel' stamp set.

A picture of the inside of the card which again is very clean and simple with a printed sentiment. The CAS technique is definitely something I am going to work on and hopefully someday I will be able to whip up one of these cards in less time than a super embellished one!

Please show us your CAS creations using Paper Wings Productions stamps!  You can post them to our Pinterest page, our Facebook page or to our Flickr gallery.  Stay tuned for the rest of the week to see what the other designers have in store for you!

 Thanks for visiting!
